Why It’s Special: This 20-year old Round Rock home needed some new love in the bathroom and that’s just what we did. We stripped away the old tiles and lightened up the space with a fresh coat of creme-colored paint, black metal fixtures and stone-texture hexagon tile. The freestanding tub rests just in front of the picture window which is frosted to keep passers-by from looking inside.

Why It’s Special: Combining modern architecture with all natural woods, this new construction creates an open, unique living space in the heart of Austin. The home was designed to bring natural light in through a generous assortment of windows both in the front and on the back patio.

Why It’s Special: This 2-story new construction is just minutes from Downtown Austin and similar in design to #B, but larger. We designed it with a white quartz waterfall island in the kitchen and large windows to let in the natural light. Landscaping includes Mexican grasses, native Texas  plants and an assortment of agave.

Why It’s Special: This charming University Hills home was built in 1968 for a family who probably looked a lot like “Leave It To Beaver.” We changed all that by adding windows. Lots and lots of windows. We call it a 5/3, but it could be a 4/3 with an office since everyone just loves working from home now. The kitchen is amazing so you can look like you love to cook without actually having the skills (hey, that’s what UberEats is for, right?). So, yes, besides a microwave, it also has a white quartz waterfall island, wine refrigerator and 6-burner gas range. And it’s only minutes from Mueller.

Why It’s Special: This Quail Creek mini-mini mansion boasts more than 1500 square feet with mature kumquat, pecan and fig trees for making pies and other fine desserts if you’re into that sort of thing. Its enlarged island used to be small, but we expanded it to create a great space for entertaining in our favorite place: The Kitchen. Minutes to Domain shopping and Burnet Road food trucks in case you don’t want to use the really cool kitchen.

Why It’s Special: This house was a both challenging and rewarding. When we found it, it was almost hopeless with extensive termite damage and mold. It needed a complete renovation all the way down to the studs. We replaced every major system–we mean, EVERY. Major. System: Plumbing, electrical, mechanical, foundation, roofing. Everything. Now it’s ready for its second life with you in it.

Why It’s Special: In it’s original form, we saw so much potential for this home even though its 4/2 floor plan was so awkward. But we really opened things up and converted it to a 3/2 with a true Master Bedroom with its huge window and a hidden shower in the bathroom (see if you can find it!). The kitchen is a perfect open-concept plan with an island cooktop and hood with a wonderful view of the covered patio in the back. You’ll love entertaining on the wood deck in the back patio with its stained wood patio cover and skylights.
