A full interior renovation is a smaller project in comparison to a new home build but is still a much larger undertaking than a simple bathroom or kitchen renovation.  

Some homeowners decide to renovate their home one room at a time to make the project more manageable but it is possible to renovate your whole house at one time without unnecessary stress. Understanding the Full Interior Renovation Process 

The first step to understanding the process of updating your entire house is to first answer the question: What is a full home renovation? As the name would suggest, a full home renovation is a project which touches every surface of the entire home and can include upgrades to the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and living spaces. 

With such a large scope of work, it can be intimidating to think about where to start. This is where Freccia Group can help. Our in-house team works with each of our Austin homeowners to design and build the space of their dreams. We can even make sure to. preserve the elements that make your house feel like home.

When you start a full home renovation with Freccia Group, there are a few things you can expect. Our designers will first work with you to create a layout for your upgraded home and give you an idea of the full scope of work. We’ll then begin with a full house gut which often comes in 4 stages.  

Stage 1: Working Down To The Studs 

The first step is to remove all cabinets, trim, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, drywall and insulation. This allows us to expose the studs of the home.  

Stage 2: Wall Removal/Demolition

During the demolition stage, we will remove any walls not needed for the new layout.

Stage 3: Adding Support 

The next stage includes adding support beams to strengthen your home’s structure. This is key if you are taking out walls that help support the roof or if previous renovations have compromised the structural integrity of the home.

Stage 4: Plumbing, HVAC and Electrical 

The last stage in the full interior gutting process is re-working the plumbing, electrical, and HVAC rough-ins. It is important to make sure they conform to the new layout and latest codes.

Once the bones of the home are complete, our builders will begin working on constructing the walls and painting before installing cabinets, tile and appliances. After that, it won’t be long until you can step through your front door into the newly renovated home of your dreams.

The A unit of our new listing in East Austin is easy to spot when driving down 13th Street. The white trim paired with contrasting cedar wood accents creates stunning curb appeal, capturing the eyes almost immediately.
